The curtain came down on the league season at the 'Wood with the final games played home and away against Linton Park. A double win secured promotion from Division 6 to Division 5 for the 'Soops' and confirmed the 1st XI in third place in their first season back in Division One.

There followed the awards and end of season party which proved to be a rumbustious affair that stretched into the wee small hours. Thanks goes to Gayle and Charlotte for organising a fabulous event and Angie for providing the food.

All that remains now is the final week of away friendlies for the men and the Festival of Women's Cricket for our women on Saturday and Sunday. So if you are missing your cricket already, why not pop down to the 'Wood for one final time this season?
