All that Glitters...

The weather may have put paid to cricket for the weekend, but the first social event of the season took place at the 'Wood.

The pavilion was converted to Casino Royale for the evening as club members tried their luck at the blackjack table, and tried their tastebuds on a range of cricket themed cocktails.

With names evoking the beautiful game (Golden Duck anyone?) Ashley, Harry, and Sarah worked miracles behind the bar, preparing coctails from a menu of six.

The cocktails were really rather good, and the Blackjack was great fun.

Look out for further events throughout the summer. A hog roast is in the planning, along with a racenight, bingo, quiz (and whisper it) maybe even karaoke .
