It was a long day, but club volunteers rose to the challenge of clearing away the outfield equipment, and getting the Long Room ready for the evening's final ground based social of the season.

Despite the additional compexities of operating around the current ground work, and leaving space for additional winter work inside, the team worked like a well oiled machine to stack, clean, fold and generally position items for storage in the garage. It was hard work, but the sun shone and the team were kept fuelled with bacon butties, biscuits and drinks throughout the morning.

Then it was time to head home for some last minute revision before returning for the final event of the year at the 'Wood - Music Bingo...what's not to like?

Quizmistress Kate rattled through the years and it wasn't long before the sounds of 'Sweet Caroline', 'Dancing Queen' and the 'Boys Are back in Town' amongst others were squeezing out of the doors into the evening air. An added bonus is there is one can fewer of the Red Stripe available for the club's Grand Gala Evening in November.

A big thank you to Kate for running the quiz evening, and to all the volunteers who helped the club with the close down.
