Outwood CC Pavilion Renovation – Crowdfunding Launch

Outwood CC Pavilion Renovation – Crowdfunding Launch

matt burgess6 Sep 2025 - 15:30

Help us raise funds for the new toilet and shower facilities.....if we hit our target Sport England will double it!!

Dear Members,
We’re delighted to announce that Outwood Cricket Club is taking a big step forward in improving our Pavilion facilities — and we need your help to make it happen.
Our club is growing fast, with a thriving Youth Academy and a flourishing Women’s section. But right now, our facilities are holding us back:
• Women players, girls, and female spectators currently have to share just one toilet, which is also the only disabled access toilet.
• There is only one open-plan shower area for all players, with no privacy.
? This project will fix that.
We’ll be converting the open plan shower area into two toilet cubicles and two private self-contained shower cubicles, providing much better facilities for all players using the dressing rooms. We will also be creating an additional toilet cubicle for women and girls. These changes will hugely improve privacy, safeguarding, and inclusion, ensuring our Pavilion is fit for the next generation of club members.
Sport England has confirmed that if our club raises at least £15,000 through our crowdfunding page, it will match this with a further £15,000.
The crowdfunding page goes live this Saturday at the Academy Awards Night and will be open until Weds 5th November (Bonfire Night!) — let’s welcome our new facilities with a bang.

We’re asking every member, family, & friend of the club to contribute what they can & share the campaign widely. Together, we can make Outwood a place where everyone feels welcome, included, & proud.
If you are interested in knowing more about the proposed changes please speak to Phil Ient or James Malley, and if you would like to support club fundraising please speak to Matt Burgess or Liz Peacock. We have lots of plans to improve the club in the pipeline.

Thank you in advance for your support — Howzat for the future!
