Outwood Cricket Club’s fundraising campaign to upgrade the pavilion’s shower and WC facilities is entering its final stretch — and we’re nearly there! Our goal is £30,000, with Sport England pledging £15,000 through a match-funding scheme.

The project will deliver two additional WCs for players, remodelled showers offering improved privacy, and a new WC for non-playing women members and guests — creating modern, inclusive facilities that reflect the needs of all club members.

This funding opportunity has allowed the club to address infrastructure issues with the existing showers and dressing rooms. The inclusive nature of the project, offering improved facilities for women and children, has unlocked funding that would otherwise have been out of reach.

We’ve already raised £8,767 from 32 donors, leaving us just £6,200 to go. Every contribution counts, and a broad base of donors will show the depth of support from the club membership for these improvements.

In addition, a £30,000 grant from Tandridge means the work will have minimal or no impact on club reserves. This strong financial position will allow the committee to plan ahead to future investments in playing facilities, including refurbishing the outdoor nets.
