The sun shone throughout the day and after a fabulous buffet lunch, the capacity crowd watched as Malco's hired guns did battle with a select Outwood XI. Under the watchful eye of Malcolm's fixer, Ian 'Milto' Milton the President's XI accumulated 126 carefully crafted runs before a bold declaration with two overs to go.

If Ian was hoping that the sumptuous tea would derail the chase by the Outwood XI, it was a gamble that didn't pay off with the runs chased down for the loss of just two wickets.

But the result was a minor byline on a day when once again the real winner was the Outwood Cricket Club, basking in the sunshine and welcoming members past and present to enjoy a great gathering.

It was good to see young players and old playing together and members across the generations sharing memories of days past.
