With the season behind us, work around the club is continuing. Here’s where things stand.

Fencing. As reported last week, the fencing works are underway, with phase one complete. Phase two starts shortly.

Internal redecoration. Redecoration of the pavilion interior is now underway, as the photo shows. This forms part of our seven-year programme to keep the building, fresh and compliant for our members. It’s good to see another stage of that plan taking shape.

Paving and hardstanding. Members will be aware of the problem with the paving area around the pavilion, and the issues being caused by moving ground in the immediate surrounds of the building. Renewal of the paving and hardstanding areas will begin next week. Access to the pavilion will be restricted, so if you need to get in for any reason, please contact a member of the committee.

Outfield and square. Still to come. Our annual programme of works to the outfield and square will begin as soon as the weather softens the ground enough for the contractors to start. Details will follow once we have a firm start date, so watch this space.
