For the first time in many years, there were no home games played at Outwood due to the wet weather. All the men's, women's and Academy games were called off.

Despite the best efforts of groundsman Roger Willcox and the OCC Ground team, the covers Hokey Cokey, played out over the entire week was not enough to save the home fixtures.

Roger was at the grount at 7am on Sunday in a bit to get the National Village Cup game on, but all to no avail as the week long inclement weather took its toll on the wicket and outfield.

With the promise of drier weather for the rest of the week we hope to make up for lost time on our Surrey Slam fixture, now scheduled for 26 May, and our NVC fixture, scheduled for 30 May, competition rules dictating this is played at Buxted Park.
