The Outwood Outlaws moved a game closer to finals day with a nine wicket win over the Oakwood Hills 'Sloggers'

Losing the toss, the Sloggers chose to bat, posting 99 all out in 18.5 overs. The openers set off at a furious pace, in an opening stand of 44 from 5 overs and things were looking ominous for the Outlaws. However two wickets in two balls in over 6 from Marcus Malley opened up one end, and once the door was ajar, there was no holding back the rampant Outlaw attack. Two more wickets in two balls from Marcus' final over (in the 7th) and the Sloggers had slumped to 54 for 4. By over 12 the score had moved to 70 for nine with wickets for Cleaver, Talbot, Max, and two for Zac and the Sloggers looked to be out of it. A last wicket stand 29 gave the Sloggers bowlers something to defend.

In reply, the Outlaws raced to the target inside 12 overs with Laurence 44 not out from 25 balls.

So we are SouthEast Region finalists for the first time since we reached finals day in the inaugural year of the competition in 2018, only one game away from finals day.
