A return to winning ways for the Outwood Outlaws with the home tie against the Grasshoppers of Oxted.
Batting first the lads put on 174 for the loss of 8 wickets. Will Blease top scored with 48 and skipper Matt Norman chipped in with 43.
In reply the Grasshoppers reached 141 for the loss of four wickets. The Outlaws performance with the ball and in the field was noticeably sharper than their last outing against South Nutfield. Matt Talbot was particularly effective going for only 19 in his four overs.
The match was a family affair for the Cleavers, with Mike and Ben turning out for the Outlaws with Jac keeping wicket for the Grasshoppers, and stumping his brother for four.
Next up is the return fixture against the Magics of Merstham on 19 June at the OCG. A win will make sure we progress to the knockout stages of the competition later in the summer
